We value frequent gathering and fellowship, both formally and informally, as an opportunity to love, edify and spur one another to love and good deeds. We hope you take advantage of these great opportunities to serve, and be served.

Children's Ministry Philosphy

We believe that God has given children the ability to learn His Word and doctrinal Truth. With God's help, the teachers at PBF focus on explaining these Truths with Scripture.

Sunday Schedule

The following schedule will help you see what your children will be doing throughout the morning:

1st Service - 9:00am to 10:30am

  • 9:00am - Children worship with their family in the sanctuary.
  • 9:25am - Children are dismissed from the sanctuary to join their classes and participate in 1) Children's Choir, 2) Scripture Memorization, 3) Missions highlight.

2nd Service - 10:45am to 12:15pm

  • 10:45am - Children worship with their family in the sanctuary.
If your children already attended 1st service worship with you, your children can attend their class for an activity/craft that is associated with today's lesson.
  • 11:10am - Children from the sanctuary are dismissed to join their classes where they are taught the Bible lesson for the day.

Curriculum

During the 2nd Service, we are thrilled to be using Generations of Grace, a biblically based, God-centered curriculum, for our children ages 5th grade and younger. Generations of Grace is "designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture. We can better understand who He is and how we are to respond to Him by studying how His redemptive plan has unfolded and how He has used men to accomplish His purposes."

Each class studies the same Bible passage, but at the level that is age appropriate. This provides a great opportunity for family discussion about one specific Bible passage instead of several different ones. We just finished a year of studying the Life of Christ from the books of Matthew, Acts and Revelation. This year (August, 2011 thru July, 2012), we are walking through the Old Testament by digging into the books of Genesis thru Numbers."
